Madonna's Big Apple Museum Visit

0 comentarios
Surrounded by a large entourage of security guards, Madonna was spotted outside the Museum of Modern Art in New York City yesterday (May 23).

The "Material Girl" singer sported a super-sophisticated look, wearing a pair of glasses, a blue satin belted coat, black pants and a pair of peep-toe black pumps.

Earlier in the day, while making a surprise guest appearance on Oprah Winfrey's first farewell show, the 52-year-old paid tribute to the TV queen, lending these kind words, "She is a self-made woman who has been at the top of her game for over 25 years and she is still kicking ass. She fights for things she believes in even if it makes her unpopular. She has balls and a wealth of compassion. I have learned so much from her."

Madonna also praised the famed host for her quest in educating underprivileged girls, telling, "We both share a passion for educating girls in Africa and Oprah's commitment to building the girls academy in South Africa and seeing it through and having it be such a success against all odds has helped me to understand that it is possible and that in spite of the challenges I have encountered trying to build a girls school in Malawi that I should stay the course and keep going no matter how much resistance I encounter.'

Initial Buzz For ‘X Men: First Class’ Suggests It’s A Winner

Though reviews won’t be out until Wednesday, early buzz from those who’ve seen X Men: First Class is positive. At the helm of this installment are the crushworthy Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, leading a pack of A-Listers including Zoe Kravitz, Jennifer Lawrence and Rose Byrne.

A few blogs that attended initial screenings of the film walked away really liking it. According to indieWIRE.com, who pulled reviews from a variety of blogs, reports that Blogomatic200 wrote, “like ‘Star Trek,’ the film ties nicely into the franchise while also breaking some new ground: “‘X-Men: First Class’ does not forget what came before, in fact there are nods to it throughout, both fun and terribly sad, but fresh faces have breathed new life into familiar characters and their battle for acceptance has an added touch of humanity.”

Fassbender, McAvoy and Kravitz, joined Kevin Bacon, Jane Goldman, Jason Flemyng and Alex Gonzalez attended a photocall at The Dorchester Hotel yesterday in London

“Friends with Benefits” is about two friends who agree to a no-strings-attached physical relationship, though things get complicated when one falls for the other.

Over the weekend, Justin absolutely killed it while hosting “Saturday Night Live,” including another musical collaboration with Andy Samberg.

Listen To Two New Charice Songs: “Louder” And “As Long As You’re There” From ‘Glee’

Tonight marks the finale of Glee Season 2, and our second favorite guest star on the episode (other than the city of New York, of course) is the return of the joyfully named Sunshine Corazon, played by Charice, who performs an original song, “As Long As You’re There”. To coincide with her return on the hit show, the Filipino pop star has also released the lyrics video to her new single, “Louder”. Watch and listen to both tunes below!

I’m gonna let my heart beat louder, my heart speak louder than my head,” belts out Charice on this gleaming, fast-paced slice of pop fun.

On tonight’s finale, Charice-as-Sunshine will perform an original ballad, “As Long As You’re There”, and get into a confrontation with Rachel Berry. Says Charice to USA Today, “Everyone knows that Rachel and Sunshine are rivals, that Rachel sent her to a crack house. But they’re going to talk about that, and Rachel’s going to be sorry and they’re going to create a friendship. So I won’t just be performing (the song); there’s a dramatic scene, which I’m really excited about.”

Nick Jonas To Star In ‘Hairspray’ At The Hollywood Bowl

After getting tres dramatique in Les Miserables, theatre-lover Nick Jonas is heading back to the stage. The youngest JoBro will star in a three-date engagement of the Tony-winning musical Hairspray, playing at the Hollywood Bowl this August. Nick will be playing heartthrob Link Larkin, the role originated on Broadway by Glee’s Matthew Morrison, and also played by Zac Efron in the big-screen adaption. Check out the rest of the cast below.

In a bit of six degrees of separation, both Zac and Matthew have buddies in the show — Efron’s High School Musical co-star Corbin Bleu will play Seaweeed (man, they sure do like their HSM alumni there at the Bowl), and Glee’s hottie dentist John Stamos will play dance show host Corny Collins in the Bowl production.

American Idol’s Season 3 runner-up Diana DeGarmo and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Darlene Love will play Penny and Motormouth Maybelle, and original Hairspray castmembers (and Tony winners) Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur will once again reprise their roles as mother-daughter pair Edna Turnblad and Tracy Turnblad.

Hairspray will run at LA’s legendary Hollywood Bowl on August 5, 6 & 7. We’ll more than likely be there that Friday, Friday.

Taylor Swift “The Story Of Us” Video Debuts On MTV

Taylor Swift raises a racket in the library in the just-released music video for “The Story Of Us”, the latest toe-tapper from Speak Now. If you dug the dork-chic glasses look that T-Swift rocked in “You Belong With Me”, then you’ll love the CoverGirl’s “Bookworm Couture” getup in this vid. Wearing a cute prep school uniform, Taylor (who wrote this jam about her ups and downs of her relationship with John Mayer) wrestles with post-breakup trauma between the stacks. Just don’t try the Billboard Music Award winner’s dance moves in your in your local library. “The story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now,” according to the lyrics. But does it end that way? Watch below.

The last song Taylor wrote for Speak Now, “The Story Of Us” is clearly a fan favorite, based on the response it received at her live Nashville performance. Unlike the performance (in which Taylor sported a shimery gold dress) the video showcases the song as the bittersweet, rearview-mirror-obsessed lament that it is. But hey, at least no one tied her to railroad tracks this time.

They’re poised to take over the box office this summer, and the stars of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” are on the cover of Empire magazine’s July issue.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint join forces to keep the hype alive for their new flick, the final chapter of the Potter movie franchise.

And it sounds like “Harry Potter” audiences will get a sneak peek at the upcoming Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises” as the trailer will play before “Deathly Hallows Part 2.”

A movie theater insider told press, "Updated listings at Regal have TDKR teaser attached to Harry Potter. I don't have a link my buddy that works there texted me about it. Having worked at a Regal for 6 years there listings are usually pretty accurate not 100% but pretty close. Its not much but it does help confirm what people have been guessing on here for awhile."
