Demi Lovato made her first official appearance since leaving prescribed treatment in late January by sending her fans a video message from her living room.
In the video, the 18-year-old spoke a little bit about what she called “the darkest point in her life.”
“I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. Your support is what got me through,” she says. She went into rehab last November for “emotional and physical issues.”
“The journey has been very, very difficult,” Lovato says, expressing a desire to help raise awareness about the issues with which she struggles, “so I can help people the way you helped me during this rough time.”
