Christina Aguilera stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and chat about some recent goings on in her life, and yes, she talked again about that dreaded Super Bowl performance.
In an episode that airs Tuesday, April 26th, Xtina confirmed to the talk show host when asked about her new found love, “There is someone very lovely in my life. Yes.”
When asked about her infamous National Anthem flub at this year’s Super Bowl, the Burlesque star took it all in stride, telling Ellen,
“I had been singing that song my entire life. I was the youngest anthem singer in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I sang for the Steelers when I was this big.” She revealed she knew the moment she had made a mistake, she would be headlines the next day, saying, “That night I knew, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question … ‘In 2011 what female singer, ya know, flubbed the lyrics?’ It’s just insane. But I have a really good laugh about it and you get over things. You get back up again and you just prove to yourself and to everyone you that much stronger.”
