Near-Nude Lady Gaga Covers ‘NME’
“Judas” hitmaker Lady Gaga had a few things to get off her chest for her cover story in UK mag NME—including her shirt. Pop’s Born This Way biker chick let loose with a tirade against all the haters who accuse her of faking her talents. And she also wore a see-through, zip-up body suit in NSFW photos shot by Mariano Vivanco. Read on!
This week’s issue of NME finds Gaga in a feisty mood. “Let me tell you something. If you fucking rip my hairbow and my wig off my fucking head, my shoes, my bra, every single thing on my body, and you throw me on a piano with a microphone, I will fucking make you cry,” she said, as quoted by Gaga Daily, in response to accusations that she’s simply a manufactured pop act.
She also added this gem: “If you want me to be a manufactured act, you can fuck off.”
Mother Monster, who also covers the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, went on to talk about how she’s never fully satisfied with the sound of her tunes. And then she sort of compared herself to John Lennon.
“I am perpetually unhappy with what I create. Even though I might tell you that ‘Edge of Glory’ is a pop masterpiece, when it’s all said and finished there will be things I dread, and every time I listen to it I’ll hear them,” the dissatisfied Lady lamented. “In John Lennon’s [1980] Playboy interview he talked about how he hated certain songs because of the way they were finished. And they might be my favorite songs, but Lennon couldn’t listen to them.”
Geez, what set Gaga off into such a foul mood? Did NME not offer her any tea during their sitdown? Should she be so hard on herself about her music?
At least the article did offer some upbeat info, particularly on the “Judas” music video—which is being co-directed by the singer and her choreographer Laurieann Gibson—when it noted the inclusion of “motorbikes, death and, in the final seconds, a strong spoken word sequence about Gaga being beyond repentance” in the upcoming visual.
Well, okay—maybe that’s not so upbeat.
