Nick Jonas made a USO visit to Columbus, Ohio, in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s new program for military families — is he on his way to becoming president?
ShareTweetNick Jonas has always been vocal about his desire to run for the presidency in the future, and it seems like he is already campaigning for his role! Nick flew out to Ohio to join bassist Sonny T. on stage and perform for the troops. First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden announced an initiative to support military families last week, and on April 14 Nick was out in the field pledging his support! Would you vote for him — when’s he’s old enough to run — in 2040?
Nick says he is “very honored” to be a part of the effort to support service members and their families. Nick calls Michelle “an amazing woman” and adds that “her support for the USO is incredible, she’s done a great job.” This isn’t the first time Nick has teamed up with the First Lady. In October, Nick announced his involvement in a healthy-living initiative promoting healthy eating and exercise. He has also worked hard to provide awareness for juvenile diabetes.
Nick has told us that he’s “absolutely serious” about running for president, and even has a specific date in mind: 2040!
“We sell bumper stickers on tour that say ‘Jonas 2040,’ so go pick one of those up and start the campaign,” says Nick, who is 18.He needs to be 35 to legally run for president. In 2040, he’ll be 48!
As Nick continues to support military families at events like the one in Columbus, it looks like he may prove to be quite the candidate. Take our poll and let is know how you feel.
