After their splendid public display of affection (TWICE), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge greeted guests at Queen Elizabeth‘s reception. The enormous fruitcake and chocolate biscuit groom’s cake were on display for 650 invitees at Buckingham Palace as Prince Charles and Prince William made toasts welcoming Catherine into their family.
Afterward, Wills and Kate sped off in Prince Charles’ vintage blue Aston Martin convertible, adorned with balloons, streamers and a license plate that said “JU5t Wed.” This was a pleasant surprise for the public, who didn’t expect the couple to emerge again after their balcony appearance. According to Us Magazine, A rep from St. James’ Palace told the Belfast Telegraph, “It was Prince William’s idea to drive his new bride away from the official reception on their first journey as a married couple to his family home.”
We couldn’t be happier for the couple, who will return to Anglesey, North Wales where William is a Search and Rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force. The newlyweds will spend two weeks on their honeymoon at an undisclosed location.
DYING to hear about Prince Harry‘s Best Man speech.
