The Scottish singer was spotted outside her West Lothian home this afternoon holding a card and a bouquet of flowers and sporting a red dress with black flats.
Boyle has received birthday wishes from fans and friends around the world today, and is planning a big bash later tonight.
When asked how she feels on her special day, Susan told press, "I guess I'm living proof that none of us know what's around the corner and, while I may have started a little late, I really hope I can be around for a wee while longer!"
