Did the most current crop of American Idol alumni receive any budget for their debut music videos? Lauren Alaina’s clip was mostly baby photos; Scotty McCreery’s video was him singing on a stage in front of friends and fam; and now ninth-place finisher Pia Toscano’s extremely-widescreen video for “This Time” basically requires her to look gorgeous in various locales (beach, field, street) without offering us anything else.
