Exactly one month since her death, the family of Amy Winehouse has spoken out, revealing that there were no drugs found in her system at the time of her passing.
"Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death," the Winehouse family said in a statement today (August 23).
The statement continued, "The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October."
The "Rehab" singer, who had struggled with both drug and alcohol abuse throughout her time in the spotlight, was found dead in her London home on July 23.
