Miley Cyrus was announced as a performer Thursday on Good Morning America, when the nominees for the 2013 AMAs were also revealed. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the pack with six nods, including Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, and Single of the Year (for "Thrift Shop").
Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift each received five nominations, including Artist of the Year. Rounding out the Artist of the Year category are Rihanna and Bruno Mars.
Other nominees include Phillip Phillips, Robin Thicke, Blake Shelton, Pink and One Direction.
The 2013 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 8/7c on ABC.
