Ashley Greene & Joe Jonas Broken Up & Both In NYC — Will They Run Into Each Other?

Either great minds think alike — or Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas are pulling one over on us! The once-adorable couple have called it quits and we’re all completely shocked! Despite Ashley, 24, and Joe’s, 21, PDA-filled dates for the past seven months, Page Six first reported that the relationship ended a few weeks ago and both reps released a joint statement to HollywoodLife.com “We can confirm they have parted ways and have no further comment.” Oddly, the lovebirds are both in NYC just as the sad news is breaking, and they are staying at hotels just blocks away from each other. We want to know if they’ve had an awkward run-in!Despite the breakup, Ashley has been keeping herself very busy. She attended a junket for her upcoming film Skateland on March 14, shot a Mark makeup campaign on March 16, and went to see Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark with her dad, who is also named Joe. Then she headed out to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade — a huge NYC event — again with dad!

Ashley has been drowning herself in the Irish holiday today, tweeting about how she doesn’t have anything green with her and then saying“So … Went shopping… I’ve got green pants :) it’s crazy in NYC!”

Meanwhile, fans of Joe are wondering whether he tweeted the message “i cant take much more of this i miss you”. We are skeptical to believe this screenshot is real since a) if it was up for 12 hours how come nobody noticed b) Joe uses the proper pronunciation of capital I not lowercase and c) Joe rarely speaks about such personal matters on Twitter. Even if this is just a photoshopped picture to describe the tweet, it would not be typical Joe behavior to message it. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if Joe was missing Ashley and regretting his decision!

Joe is in NYC working on his upcoming solo album and a source tells us he has been frequenting a Starbucks in Soho, where his drink of choice is a grande green tea. As for Ashley, she’s managed to keep the rumor mill buzzing! A source tells HollywoodLife.com that she was spotted getting very flirty with Kings of Leon guitarist Jared Followill on March 15 at NYC hotspot Avenue.
