The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards aired on August 24, 2014 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. This will be the 31st annual MTV Video Music Awards. American singer Beyoncé and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea lead the nominees with eight nominations while American rapper Eminem is behind them with seven.

Demi Lovato Performs at Gay Pride Parade At LA

About 400,000 revelers flocked to the streets of Hollywood on Sunday in celebration of this event.

Lovato, meanwhile, will head to New York at the end of the month to headline that city's Pride's Dance on the Pier in Tribeca on June 29.

It will take place on day after the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of 1969 that sparked the gay pride movement.

"I have been an active advocate of the LGBT community and am wholly committed to supporting individuality and being comfortable in one’s own skin," Demi said via statement, adding:

"I am thrilled to be a part of both events as they are a wonderful celebration of independence and self-confidence."

She performed alongside dancers with gold, pink, and blue bodysuits, all twirling their rainbow flags and showing their pride.

 She’s always up for a fun-filled evening and last night (June 4) Demi Lovato was in the house for the Cosmopolitan for Latinas Fun Fearless Latina Awards in New York City.

The “Heart Attack” hottie donned a Fausto Puglisi dress with Miu Miu heels and Lynn Ban bling as she showed off her newly-dyed coif at Hearst Tower.

Of her latest hair design, Lovato tweeted, “Lavender/silver ombre…I know I said I was gonna give my hair a break but.. I #REALLYDONTCARE.”

Meanwhile, the Cosmopolitan for Latinas Fun Fearless Latina Awards “honored 13 fascinating individuals in the Latin community who have made outstanding strides in their fields over the past year. The honorees were chosen not only for reinventing their industries, but for their achievements that opened the door for the next generation of Latina men and women.”

 She's had her fair share of emotional and physical issues since entering rehab in 2010, and now Demi Lovato opens up about her past struggles in the August 2013 issue of Fashion magazine.

The "Skyscraper" songstress rocked designer duds from Ziena Esmail and Just Cavalli for the Chris Nicholls-shot spread and reveals how Los Angeles saved her, while revealing what she learned from bullies.

On making changes since moving to Hollywood:
“L.A. has opened my eyes. I learned that ignorance stood in the way of my insight. I wasn’t really being honest with the way I used to live. I was pretending to be a role model during the day and turning into a wild child at night.”

On her experience on X-Factor:
“The show made me a tougher critic and better empathizer. I understand artists a lot more now. I get scared for them because we if they don’t make the right decisions right now or if they don’t have the right people around them, they could put their careers in danger. What they never show [on X-Factor] is me backstage crying with certain contestants. I had to walk off a couple of times too because it gets too emotional for me. They never showed that.”

On how bullying affected her:
“I could remember word for word what my bullies said to me. Last night I had nightmares about it…just degrading things that hurt me and affected self-esteem. It affected the way I look at girls my age. I used to fear them.”
