Not only does Miley Cyrus give money to several charities and foundations around the world, but she also isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and do the work herself! In February, the 18-year-old starlet went with her mom to Haiti to work with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to help bring supplies to deaf children in the earthquake destroyed country and we have new photos of her trip.
“It was an amazing experience to watch kids hear for the first time in their lives,” Miley said of the experience.

Chris: Kudos to Miley Cyrus. She’s doing what she loves–helping others, which is its own reward and the best high a person can get in life. From the time she was very young, she went with her father to hospitals to bring cheer to the sick on a frequent basis, and she still has those values of quietly helping others as a way of life. She’s never sought publicity for her acts of kindness and charity and she does this kind of thing far more often than most people know. She truly has a heart of gold.
