The Vampire Diaries returns to our television screens tonight, and it’s about f____ time. Zap2it interviewed Paul Wesley and asked if his character, Stefan Salvatore could take on Isobel, Elena’s biological mother who is now a vampire (did you get all that?). See, Stefan’s been training to fight just about anyone by taking daily sips up blood to build up his stamina. Wesley told the site, “I’m pretty sure that Stefan could take Isobel pretty easily. I give Stefan more credit than that. It’s an interesting thing for Isobel to come back because for so long Elena’s been in Mystic Falls and she’s been the daughter of these two people that passed away in the car accident, and it’s kind of like when [Isobel] comes back she stirs the pot.”
Oh! And Wesley confirmed that on the April 28th episode, Damon and Stefan will fight it out over their feelings for Elena. Don’t assume Damon will win this battle, as Stefan is becoming oh-so-strong. Sometimes I wish Elena ran off with Damon, while other times I dig her relationship with Stefan. The sexual tension is getting a little out of control, so here’s hoping a little light is shed on this dilemma April 28th.
