One Good Reason To Watch ‘The X-Factor:’ Steve Jones

While the Summer TCA Tour has been overwhelming, we are clear on one thing: We’re tuning into The X-Factor on Fox this fall. Not because we’re excited about the talent (or lack thereof) that will waltz across the stage, but because Steve Jones will be hosting. The Welsh TV presenter appeared on the show’s panel today in Beverly Hills alongside judges Nicole Scherzinger, L.A. Reid and Paula “Walnuts” Abdul. Simon Cowell, who’s living the good life aboard a yacht off the coast of St. Tropez, joined via satellite.

Cowell confirmed that Mariah Carey would team up with the X-Factor crew. “She’s been very enthusiastic about the show, but then she selfishly got pregnant, which is why she didn’t end up as a judge,” the scary-mary Brit said.
