Alexander Skarsgard Covers Out November 2011

He's one of the hottest hunks in showbiz, and Alexander Skarsgard was nabbed to cover the November 2011 issue of Out magazine.

The Swedish heartthrob posed for a stylish spread adorning the publication's pages while chatting about his home country of Sweden and his much-talked about nude scenes in "True Blood".

On getting nude in front of the cameras:
“I notice in interviews in the U.S. all people want to talk about is nudity. You have a half-hour interview, and you spend 25 minutes talking about the nude scenes, and of course, if it makes sense as a scene, I’ll do it.”

On what defines Swedish sensibility and identity:
"I think it has to do with minimalism in terms of everything. There's a lot going on under the surface. It's something hidden. And that's always interesting to me. You have to dig deeper. It’s like a duck -- calm on the surface, but paddling like a motherfucker underneath."

On Sweden becoming the new "in" country:
“Exactly, we’re like the flavor of the month. Next month it will be Finland.”

On the greatest Swede of all time:
"The actor Ernst-Hugo Järegård. He's been such a big inspiration in my life. He played the lead in Lars von Trier’s The Kingdom, the Danish TV series. And that performance was kind of when I knew I wanted to be an actor. It’s just amazing. It's similar to what Ricky Gervais did in The Office -- one of those characters that you just love to hate, or hate to love. You're not sure what it is, but you're just mesmerized."

On what he misses about his home country:
“Two things only: the change of the seasons, which are so extreme in Sweden, and my mom’s cooking. Those are the only things I really care about.”
