“Underworld: Awakening” Unleashes New Trailer

It doesn’t hit theaters until after the New Year, but Sony’s Screen Gems has released the new trailer for “Underworld: Awakening.”

Starring Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance, the much-awaited follow-up will be taking over 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D cinemas beginning January 20.

The beautiful Beckinsale will return in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans.

“Underworld: Awakening” is directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein off of a screenplay by Beckinsale’s husband, Len Wiseman.
