'X Factor' winner James Arthur video for 'Impossible' released

James Arthur has released an accompanying video for his track 'Impossible'. The debut single from the 2012 X Factor winner passed Cheryl Cole to become the fastest-selling single of the year this week. The clip is comprised of footage from The X Factor, and tracks Arthur's journey from his initial audition to his triumph in the final on Sunday (December 9).

'Impossible' also broke download records with its release earlier in the week, with 187,000 downloads in the first 24 hours on sale making it the fastest-selling X Factor single ever. However, the sales success stands in marked contrast to the television show's fortunes, with the final being the lowest-rated X Factor final ever.

There are rumors that next year Simon Cowell will engineer a head-to-head battle against Strictly Come Dancing, which consistently beat its ITV1 rival in the ratings this year.
