Ke$ha talks bi-sexuality & bullying in Seventeen's February 2013 issue

Kesha showed her softer side with some super cute kittens in the February issue of Seventeen, where she also had wise words for her animals — and revealed a pretty juicy secret about herself.

Rocking several different, diverse rock n’ roll, bohemian, flowery and just generally pretty looks, Kesha still looked like herself, which has always been super important to her… even when people don’t like what she’s doing. She admits in a behind-the-scenes video that she’s landed on worst dressed lists but that it doesn’t bug her, because it shows she’s doing her own thing.
“I used [negative comments] to motivate me then, and I still do,” she told the mag. “I remember every person who told me I couldn’t do something or that I was ugly or too fat. I have a ‘s— list’ — people from my past who have been soulless and judgmental. Even after I got through my awkward phase, got my braces off and figured out how to dress my body, people in the music business were like, ‘You’re never going to make it.’ I see them now and I’m like, ‘Ha!’ That’s one of the reasons I named my record ‘Warrior,’” she added. “You can be a victim and let that eat your soul, or you can say, You’re going on my list and I’m going to prove you wrong!”

First off, Kesha? Ugly? Fat? Are these people blind? She’s so cute! Still, she takes it in stride when people talk smack. “I’m very much into making fun of myself because other people do it so you have to be able to laugh at yourself,” she said. “The sooner you can laugh at yourself, the easier your life will be.”

That doesn’t mean she’s okay with outright bullying. In fact, she’s adamantly against it. “I’m all about standing up to gay/lesbian/transgender bullying, but it’s also about my little brother,” she said. “He’s 13 and he gets made fun of because he has a stutter. I just have zero tolerance for people making fun of others.”

Another reason K-Dollar Sign may be so against bullying of the LGBTQ community is because not only do they support her, but she identifies with them. She revealed, “I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with.”
