"My new fragrance is an expression of my style - modern, elegant, masculine," Beckham said. "I love it. And hope everyone will love it as much as I do."
The 38-year-old added that he has no intention of relaxing his beauty regime as he gets older.
"I think it's important to always look after yourself whatever your age," he said in a promotional online booklet for 'Classic'.
"For me it feels instinctive and I don't wear something because of what anyone would think. It has to feel right for the person and if people are complimentary, then it's a bonus."
Asked if he thinks he is good-looking, Beckham replied: "No, not really but I like to think I've got my own distinct look, which reflects who I am as a person and the way I evolve as a man."
Beckham played his final competitive football match in May as part of the Paris Saint-Germain squad.
