Pop star Justin Bieber was arrested early Thursday in Miami Beach, Fla. on suspicion of DUI after drag racing with friends, according to police. The Miami Beach Police Department confirmed the arrest on its official Twitter page and later said the singer resisted arrest and had an expired license.

Cops say they'll charge the pop star, who is Canadian, with DUI, no valid driver's license out of the state of Georgia, and resisting arrest without violence.
They also said he admitted during the DUI investigation at the police station that he had consumed alcohol, had been smoking marijuana and had taken prescription medication.
Bieber was driving a rented Lamborghini at the time, police sources said.
