Fergie Second Solo Album Is Coming!!!!!!

Here’s some news that will put you on rock, rock. Fergie is finally getting around to recording her second solo album — eight years after the release of The Dutchess. The 39-year-old has previously spoken about working on new music in vague terms but shed more light on the project in an interview with Chelsea Handler last night (August 15).

After talking about french kissing her son (wait…), the Black Eyed Peas singer revealed: “my social life is now at the studio, everyone’s there and I think it’s the biggest party.” Fergie then confirmed that she’s working on her sophomore set but couldn’t give an exact release date. “It’s coming,” she told the Chelsea Lately audience. Apparently the “My Humps” poetess is writing about “all different things” and collaborating with “talented people”.

The much-missed diva’s debut LP The Dutchess was released way back in 2006 — not 2007 as she says in the interview — and spawned five top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including “Fergalicious”, “Glamorous” and the Grammy-nominated ballad “Big Girls Don’t Cry (Personal)”. The new album is expected to be released on Interscope Records later this year. Watch the video after the jump.
